Outreach VI D

The students of class 6 D went on an outreach program to an old age home run by the Little Sisters of the Poor on November 15th. On our arrival we were warmly greeted by the Mother Superior, who patiently explained that the organisation cared for 50 elderly men and women who have no one to look after. The funding for the old age home was purely through charity of generous people. Our students performed a dance and a medley of songs which was thoroughly enjoyed by the old people. This was followed by an interactive session of the students and the elderly. The students were filled with empathy for the elderly. After having spent an hour at the home, we returned back to school. The students realised that they need to care for the elderly and give back to society.
