“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope. — Jeremiah

The Orientation Programme for the incoming Class XI students and their
parents was held on the morning of May 30th, 2025, in the School Auditorium.
The event was designed to warmly welcome the new batch, familiarize them
with school policies, and help them begin their ISC journey with clarity and
confidence.
The morning began at 9:00 am with Ms. Lali, the Master of Ceremonies,
extending a heartfelt welcome to all present. This was followed by the solemn
lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering
in of knowledge. The lamp was lit by Sr. Alpana, our Chief Guest Ms. Brinda
Adige, Ms. Lali, Ms. Arnavaz, and student and parent representatives,
accompanied by a soulful song presented by the school choir.
Ms. Vinitha then led the prayer service, along with the ISC Doctrine Leaders,
invoking God’s blessings through scripture reading and intercessory prayers.
The choir followed with a melodious hymn led by Mr.Elton, further setting a
reflective and uplifting tone for the day.
Ms. Arnavaz introduced Sister Alpana, who then addressed the gathering with
warm words of encouragement and wisdom. Her address inspired both
students and parents to approach the ISC years with purpose and faith. Ms.
Arnavaz offered a formal thank you on behalf of the school community.
The Chief Guest, Ms. Brinda Adige—renowned social worker and child rights
activist—was introduced by Mr. Titto. She was felicitated by
Sr. Alpana and the Student Council Leader with a sapling and a shawl,
symbolizing growth and respect. The staff council also felicitated
Sr. Alpana. Ms. Adige then addressed the students, sharing powerful insights
on the importance of youth responsibility, empathy, and gender sensitivity.
A token of appreciation was presented to the Chief Guest by Trisha Lynnette
and a student representative, followed by a video presentation introduced by
Mr. Titto and coordinated by Ms. Merlin and a student from the control room.
As the Chief Guest left for tea, Ms. Marina took over to share practical
information regarding books, transport, the VAPS system, and uniforms. Ms.
Alka then outlined the school’s rules and regulations. A brief Q&A session
followed, with the MC and Sister Alpana addressing queries from parents and
students.
The faculty members then introduced themselves individually, helping families
connect faces to subjects. To add a cheerful note, the event included a peppy
musical interlude followed by the rousing school song.
The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks, after which a song
was presented as parents exited the auditorium. Tea and coffee were served
on the sports field, where help desks had been set up by Ms. Jinet, Ms.
Marina, and Ms. Nathalia. The faculty was present on the field, interacting
informally with students and parents, ensuring that all felt welcomed and
supported.
The event was a perfect blend of information, inspiration, and community
spirit—setting the tone for a successful academic year ahead.
