On November 15, 2025, the students of Class 8 from Sophia High School,
Bangalore, went on a field trip to Mercy Charitable Trust (R) orphanage to
celebrate Children’s Day. We left the school at 8:00 a.m. by the school bus, filled
with excitement and happiness about meeting new friends there.
When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the children and staff. The
children were of all ages and most of them were in 1st Standard to 5th Standard.
We interacted with them by playing games, singing songs, and sharing funny
stories. Everyone was smiling and enjoying the time together.
We had brought food items like biscuits, cupcakes, cookies, sweets, chips, and
fruits. We also shared gifts, clothes, and school supplies with the children. Their
happy faces made us feel proud and thankful for what we have.
This trip taught us the value of kindness, sharing, and caring for others. It
reminded us that small acts of love can make a big difference in someone’s life. It
was a memorable and meaningful Children’s Day celebration for all of us.
