The year 2025 proved to be a remarkable one for our school’s swimming
team, marked by consistent achievements across zonal, regional and national
competitions. Through disciplined training and unwavering determination, our
swimmers demonstrated exceptional skill while competing in a variety of
events such as breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly, individual medley and
springboard.
The season began with the CISCE Games and Sports Zonal Level Karnataka
and Goa Swimming Championship, held at Bishop Cotton Girls’ School,
Bangalore, on 23rd July 2025. Our school participated as part of Zone 1, with
five students representing the institution in the Under-14, Under-17 and
Under-19 categories. Competing across multiple events, the team secured an
impressive total of 14 medals—9 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze—demonstrating
strong preparation and competitive spirit.
Following this success, four swimmers advanced to the CISCE Games and
Sports Regional Karnataka and Goa Swimming Championship 2025, held at
Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Bangalore, from 10th to 13th August 2025. Competing
against talented swimmers from across the region, our students delivered
another outstanding performance, winning 16 medals in total—9 gold, 6 silver
and 1 bronze—further strengthening the school’s reputation in aquatic sports.
The swimmers continued their impressive run at the CISCE Games and
Sports 2025 National Swimming and Diving Championship, conducted at the
Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence, Bangalore, from 29th to 31st
August 2025. Representing the school in the Under-19 category were
Lineysha Anil Kumar and Sabha Suhana, while Aasthaa Ranka, Marishka and
Likhita Gowda competed in the Under-17 category. Together, the team
secured an excellent tally of 14 medals—8 gold, 5 silver and 1
bronze—highlighting their dedication and competitive excellence at the
national level.
A particularly notable achievement came at the School Games Federation of
India 69th National School Games Swimming Championship 2025, held in
New Delhi from 12th to 17th December 2025. At this prestigious event,
Lineysha Anil Kumar competed in the breaststroke and individual medley
events. She delivered an exceptional performance, winning 2 gold medals and
1 silver medal and setting a new meet record in the 100m Breaststroke,
bringing great pride to the school.
These achievements reflect the perseverance, discipline and hard work of our
swimmers throughout the year. We extend our appreciation to Ms Anitha C for
serving as the team manager and for her valuable guidance and support
during the competitions. We also express our sincere gratitude to our
respected Principal, Sr Alpana, for her continued support and encouragement
of sporting excellence in the school. We hope to bring glory and pride to our
school in the years to come.
