The academic year 2025–26 at Sophia High School commenced on a vibrant and uplifting note with a special Re-opening Day Assembly on 22 nd May, 2025, led by the Staff Council. The event beautifully introduced this year’s theme: "Campus Canvas – Colouring Our Year with Kindness.

The assembly opened with a soulful rendition of the classic “What a Wonderful World”, setting a reflective and joyous tone. This was followed by a prayer led by Sr. Madhuja, invoking blessings for the new academic year and encouraging a spirit of kindness and unity.

In a unique and symbolic gesture, Staff Councils from different buildings represented the colours of the rainbow (VIBGYOR), with each speaking on the significance of their chosen colour in the context of kindness and community:

Violet – Leans (Sophia Opportunity School): Representing dignity and compassion.

Indigo – Office Staff: Symbolizing wisdom and deep care behind the scenes.
Blue – Julie Building: Reflecting calmness and loyalty in learning.
Green – Barat Building: Signifying growth, freshness, and inclusiveness.
Yellow – Cuvilly Building: Emphasizing joy, brightness, and optimism.
Orange – Mater Building: Standing for creativity, warmth, and enthusiasm.
Red – Duchesne Building: Representing love, courage, and passion.
The most anticipated moment of the assembly was the unveiling of the Theme Board by Sister Alpana SND and Sister Madhuja SND, which visually brought the theme to life and served as an inspiring reminder for all.

Adding a lively artistic element to the program, the teachers performed a dance that portrayed how colours bring happiness, hope, and meaning to our lives. The graceful and energetic performance was met with enthusiastic applause.

The assembly concluded on a melodious and unifying note with the song “Colours of the Day,” led by the teacher’s choir, capturing the spirit of unity in diversity and the vibrant journey that lies ahead. The Re-opening Day Assembly was a beautiful blend of reflection, symbolism, and celebration—setting
