Opening Day Assembly

Date: 3rd June 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m.
Theme:Learn with Heart. Grow with Purpose”

The Opening Day Assembly for the academic year 2026–2027 was conducted with the theme “Learn with Heart, Grow with Purpose.” The programme commenced with a warm welcome to all students, staff and sisters, followed by a symbolic procession in which teachers carried various symbols representing the values and ethos of the institution such as knowledge, honesty, truth, service, excellence, unity, creativity, responsibility, peace and love.

An invocation prayer sought God's blessings for the new academic year. The teachers’ choir rendered the hymn How Great Thou Art, creating a prayerful atmosphere. A Bible reading from Proverbs 16:3 reminded everyone to entrust all plans and efforts to God and seek His guidance in all endeavors.

The theme was introduced through a brief reflection encouraging students to learn with sincerity, give their best efforts and use their knowledge for meaningful purposes. A short story, The Two Seedlings, highlighted the importance of building strong roots through effort, honesty and kindness rather than seeking quick success. The story emphasized that true growth comes from perseverance and strong values.

The teachers’ choir then presented the hymn My Lighthouse, inspiring students to trust God’s guidance through challenges. The assembly continued with the student pledge, affirming commitments to honesty, respect, hard work and purposeful learning.

The Principal addressed the gathering with a message for the new academic year. This was followed by a motivational dance by the teachers, celebrating curiosity, determination, dreams and achievement, and encouraging students to embrace every opportunity for growth.

The programme concluded with a prayer seeking wisdom, courage, kindness and purposeful growth for all members of the school community.

The assembly ended with the National Anthem, marking a meaningful and inspiring beginning to the academic year 2026–2027.
