OUTREACH VII A

A Day of Kindness: Visiting St. Theresa Mercy Home

Our visit to St. Theresa Mercy Home was one of the most wonderful experiences we have shared as a class. When our school organized this trip, we were excited, but we never imagined how meaningful it would turn out to be. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly smiles of the elders that made us feel welcome and happy.

We spent time interacting with the residents, and we enjoyed listening to them. They spoke to us with so much love and kindness that we immediately felt connected to them. This is a beautiful memory which we will all fondly remember. Being with them reminded us how important it is to share our kindness, care, and joy with others.

One of the most memorable parts of the visit was when we all sang songs together. The whole room brightened as everyone joined in, and soon we were clapping, singing, and smiling side by side. After that, we danced together, and the laughter we shared filled the entire hall. These simple moments of togetherness made the day truly special.

Before leaving, we gathered to pray for the residents of the Mercy Home. It was a peaceful and touching moment, bringing all our hearts together in gratitude to God. The kindness we felt around them made the experience even more meaningful.

Our outreach to St. Theresa Mercy Home taught us the beauty of compassion, respect, and togetherness. It was not just a school activity but a memory we will always cherish and it will bring a smile to our face every time we think about it. We returned with full hearts, thankful for the chance to brighten someone’s day—and to have ours brightened in return.
