Adolescent students from grades 7-9 of Sophia High School were given a golden opportunity by Rotary Koramangala, who organised a Mental health session ;Mind over Media; on the 23rd of February, 2026 in the Sophia High school campus in collaboration with Nimhans, Bangalore. It was graced by Rtn. CA Manoj Kumar Devarajan-President-RCBK and Rtn.Dr.Bharthi-Director of Vocational services, RCBK, Nimhans counselling Dept. Staff- Mr.Narendra, Mr.Muniraja ; Ms. Shobhitha N and guest speakers Dr.Radhika Chakraborty, Senior Resident of Psychiatry, Nimhans and Ms.Sahithya, Psychiatric Social Worker, Nimhans, Bangalore. The interactive and productive one hour session began with felicitation of the guests by Principal Sr. Alpana, while Swetlana Goswami, Community Service Director, District Interact Representative from Sophia School, introduced them to the expectant audience. The expert speakers engaged the animated students with relevant games, meaningful discussions and statistics over the PowerPoint making them realise their self worth and the dangers of digital addiction. Tele Manas the 24x7 helpline was introduced as a recourse for any help needed. Thanks to this session awareness was raised to aim for mental well being among students as well as the faculty.
