MUN Training Programme by BetterMe at Sophia High School

Sophia High School, in collaboration with BetterMe, successfully conducted a six-day Model United Nations (MUN) Training Programme from 15th to 20th June 2026. Held after school hours in the ISC Hall, the programme catered to students from Classes VIII to XII and was led by renowned MUN trainers Dr. Deepa Naidu and Mr. Adesh Naidu.

The programme aimed to develop public speaking, debating, research, communication, and diplomatic skills while introducing students to the procedures and workings of Model United Nations. Through interactive sessions, discussions, and simulations, participants gained valuable insights into global affairs and the art of constructive dialogue.

The highlight of the programme was the Mock MUN Session conducted on the final day, where students confidently represented countries, debated international issues, and presented well-researched arguments. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates from BetterMe and the felicitation of the BetterMe team and Sr. Alpana SND.

Students responded enthusiastically to the programme, appreciating the practical exposure and engaging learning experience. The training proved to be a resounding success, empowering participants to become confident communicators and responsible global citizens.
