The Fifth Edition of IntraSMUN at Sophia High School

The fifth edition of the Intra Sophia Model United Nations (IntraSMUN) was inaugurated by Principal Sr. Alpana on 18th July, 2026 leaving a lasting resonance of diplomatic enthusiasm and intellectual rigor among 170 participating Sophiates. This event provided a robust platform for students to engage in high-level debate, negotiation, and resolution-drafting across three distinct committees.

COMMITTEES & AGENDAS
The proceedings were distributed across the campus, with each committee utilizing a designated space to tackle pressing global and national issues:
● DISEC (Disarmament and International Security Committee)
Agenda: Addressing the need for an international regulatory framework for Artificial Intelligence in military operations.
● UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council)
Agenda: Combating cyberbullying and online harassment of minors: Strengthening the international human rights framework for child safety in digital spaces.
● AIPPM (All India Political Parties Meet)
Agenda: Legal validity of the Waqf Amendment Act, 2025.

Executive Board
The success of the fifth edition was steered by the dedicated Executive Board (EB) members comprising esteemed alumni as Chairs and present Sophiates as Vice Chair and Moderators. Their expertise and moderation ensured the highest standards of parliamentary procedure.
