VENUE: ASHRAYA SEVA TRUST - OLD AGE HOME.
PURPOSE: Building empathy and social responsibility among students.
OVERVIEW ~
As part of the school's outreach initiative, the students of Class 9D visited
Ashraya Seva Trust, an old age home, on 2nd August 2025. The objective of
the visit was to help students develop a deeper sense of empathy,
compassion, and social responsibility.
The students prepared a vibrant and heartfelt cultural programme, which
included:
A choir performance
A solo violin recital
A duet dance and song performance
A group dance
EXPERIENCE AND THOUGHTS
These performances brought joy to the residents and created a warm and
engaging atmosphere
During the visit, the students had emotionally moving experiences. Some felt
anger and sadness upon learning that several residents had been abandoned
by their own families, while others felt a deep emotional connection, seeing
their own grandparents reflected in the elderly residents.
CONTRIBUTIONS
Addition to the cultural performances, the school contributed essential rations
such as rice and other daily necessities for the residents.
SPECIAL MOMENT
A heartwarming moment occurred when two residents of the old age home
performed for the students, showcasing their talents and adding a special
touch to the event.
FAREWELL
Before leaving, the students shared their experiences, offered words of care
and kindness, and bid farewell to the residents.
Goal Percentage : 100%
We returned with hearts full of gratitude and reflection, carrying with them the
memory of a truly meaningful experience.
