Career Counselling Session for Grades IX & XI

On February 16, 2026, Sophia High School hosted a career counselling session for students of Grades IX and XI. The session featured Dr. Ali Khwaja, Founder and Chairperson of Banjara Academy, and counsellor Ms. Poornima Ganesh. The speakers provided practical, eye-opening advice focused on systematic decision-making and the importance of self-awareness. By framing a career as a decades-long journey rather than a singular choice of degree, the facilitators encouraged students to approach their futures with purpose and informed confidence.

The seminar was highly interactive, facilitating engagement through both oral questions and written chits to ensure all student concerns were addressed. The discussion highlighted that the underlying reasoning and personal goals behind a choice are more vital than the choice itself. This session successfully equipped the students with the necessary clarity and guidance to navigate their upcoming academic transitions, emphasising that with self-belief and the right information, they are well-prepared for the path ahead.
