CUMA Council Leaders Installation

With a spirit of unity, vision and purpose, 24 th June 2025 became a landmark date for the student community of Cuvilly and Mater, as the CUMA Council Installation Ceremony unfolded in the school auditorium at 8:30 a.m. The event marked the emergence of a new generation of young leaders, ready to inspire, lead and serve with dedication and integrity.

The installation of the 2025–26 CUMA Council, comprising 33 student representatives, was a moment of pride and anticipation. The highlight of the ceremony was the appointment of Swetlana Goswami as the CUMA Prefect, symbolizing a renewed commitment to student-driven leadership.

The solemn proceedings began with hymns and prayer intentions, setting a reverent and reflective tone. Each newly elected leader took their oath with pride and determination, pledging to uphold the values and vision of the school. The ceremony was conducted under the thoughtful guidance of Principal Sr. Alpana, along with Mrs. Anita P, Mrs. Anjana, Mrs. Kavitha and Mrs. Sophia.

The event was graced by the presence of Sr. Alpana, who was joined by an enthusiastic audience of teachers, students and proud parents from both Cuvilly and Mater. Their collective support and blessings lent a profound sense of dignity and encouragement to the occasion.

Following the oath-taking, the leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the school motto and the core values of their respective houses. In her address, Sr. Alpana delivered an inspiring message, urging the council members to lead with courage, compassion and a strong moral compass. She reminded them that true leadership is rooted in service, humility and character. She concluded her speech by introducing the student council moderators for the academic year 2025–26: Mrs. Alphonsa Mahesh, Ms. Aksa, Ms. Mary Anita and Mrs. Sudha L — a dedicated team entrusted with mentoring and guiding the young leaders.

The ceremony concluded with the soulful rendition of the school anthem, followed by a thunderous round of applause, celebrating the dawn of a new chapter in student leadership. The event not only marked an important tradition but also heralded a future filled with promise, purpose and impactful student-led initiatives.
